61 cm (24.1 inch) Class Color LCD Monitor

With dual PC and HDMI ports, the HD2441W is not only
ready to connect to your computers, but also lets you enjoy full HD
content from game consoles and AV equipment at a 1920 x 1080 resolution.
An EIZO-developed integrated circuit produces sharp, clean images, and
the sound for all connected devices can be routed through a single set
of speakers.
• 1920 × 1200 native resolution
• 3000:1 dynamic contrast ratio
• 450 cd/m2 brightness
• 178° viewing angles
• Dual HDMI and PC inputs
Dual HDMI Connectors and 1920 x 1080 Full HD
Two HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) connectors are
provided for connecting to the latest HD entertainment equipment – which
means the usual tangle of AV wires can be switched for a single slim
cable accepting audio and video signals up to 1920 x 1080. The HD2441W
also minimizes artifacts that normally occur during
interlace/progressive (I/P) conversion by detecting the amount of change
between frames and applying the optimal degree of I/P conversion. And
not only does the HD2441W handle standard 480i to 480p conversion, but
more demanding 1080i to 1080p conversion as well – maintaining image
quality while performing high speed processing. |
Dual PC Inputs
A digital DVI-D and an analog D-sub connector are both
included, so two computers can be connected at the same time. The DVI-D
input also features high-bandwidth digital content protection (HDCP) for
the viewing of content from HDCP devices.

3000:1 Dynamic Contrast with ContrastEnhancer
EIZOs ContrastEnhancer adjusts in real time the brightness, gain, and
gamma for images that are too light or too dark to their ideal levels.
With moving images it produces a dynamic contrast ratio of 3000.1,
resulting in deep blacks and more lifelike images.

|
Sharper Images with OutlineEnhancer
The OutlineEnhancer is a filter to sharpen any blurred areas of
an image. Filtering is done inside the monitor rather than by software
on the PC so OutlineEnhancer sharpens moving as well as still images in
real time. Seven degrees of adjustment are provided in the OSD menu. |

16:9 Full Mode Eradicates Overscan
When you watch a TV broadcast or view video, game or other
content, you’re usually missing part of the image. That’s because a
process called “overscanning” crops the picture on all four sides to
provide stable, undistorted viewing. This can take away as much as 10%
of the image – even when viewed at full HD resolution. The HD2441W, on
the other hand, features an industry-first 16:9 Full mode that
eliminates cropping, allowing the image to be seen in its entirety.

Images in Overdrive with No Delay
An overdrive circuit reduces midtone response time to 6 ms and
helps prevent ghosting during moving picture playback. This circuit has
minimal effect on “input lag” or the difference between the time a
signal is inputted into the monitor and then shown on screen. Gamers can
rest assured that their movements and those of their opponent are
virtually synchronous with what they see on the screen. |
Two USB Upstream and Downstream Ports
Two USB upstream ports at the back of the monitor allow for
connection to two computers, while two downstream USB ports located at
the side allow for connection to two peripherals. This lets you use a
single mouse and keyboard, for example, to control both computers, and
cuts down on desktop clutter. |
Single Audio Output for All Sound Sources
An audio output jack routes the audio signal from any connected
device — computer, games console, HD DVD player, etc. — to external
speakers. This further cuts down on cable clutter. Another jack is
conveniently located on the side of the monitor for connecting
headphones. |
Picture-in-Picture
Displaying content from a PC on the main screen while showing
video input on a sub screen, Picture-in-Picture lets you do two things
at once – such as checking email while catching a sports game. The
transparency and location of the sub screen can be adjusted through the
onscreen display menu. |
PC and Video Viewing Modes
Several viewing modes are available for both computer and AV
sources, allowing you to select the best settings for each. For PCs,
there’s a choice of Text, Movie, Picture,sRGB and Custom (user-defined),
as well as WindowMoviethat displays media player software brighter than
the rest of the screen. For audio visual devices, there’s a choice of
Standard and Custom modes, as well as Soft mode for movies and Dynamic
mode for fast-action games. |
Optimized Brightness
The BrightRegulator function detects changes in the ambient
brightness and signals the backlight to adjust the screen brightness
accordingly. This ensures the screen is never too bright or too dark,
thereby preventing eye fatigue when playing games or watching videos. |
Slide Bar
A
touch-sensitive slide bar simplifies navigation of the OSD menu by doing
away with the need to press multiple buttons.
